Though Not Quite Original This Is A Rare & Unique
Opportunity To Purchase A Real Classic
I purchased this BSA from my friend, who lovingly restored her appx.
30 years ago, having previously raced her in a number of classic
Isle of Man TT races, in almost exactly its present condition.
Date of first registration on log book is 01-01-1959 chasis number 1
Chassis is ZB31 though the engine and gearbox are earlier 1947
500cc From a XB33, Front brake is larger and was from a Gold Star
Cast Iron Head Aluminium
Casings, Note Early Gearbox
Girder Forks , Rigid & Sprung
Seat, Front & Rear Stands
I Will Miss Her When She's Gone But My Arthritis Won't
To the best of my knowledge all parts used by previous owner,
restorer were all genuine BSA parts, though handle bar grips were
replaced recently with replica part.
When restored she had lightened and ballanced crankshaft, new
piston, and rings etc and a brand new set of genuine BSA girder forks
Present mileadge 13682 which is from restoration till now
Bike has therefore got nearly 14000 miles of road wear, chips to
paintwork, and as seen in pictures, stressed seat.
She polishes up well, has some crazing in white section on petrol tank
from petrol spilage "I Think" was like it when I bought it.
Want To Make Me An Offer Please Phone 0754 1387405
I will consider dealer offers, though to be honest I would rather sell
direct to a new owner, who will use it rather than display her !
In brief she is NOT concourse, but an exceptional example of a machine which is in occasional use,
there is some rust on the barrel, one fin has some minor damage, the tyres are almost new, rear
Avon SM Mark 11, front pattern tyre of suitable type. Easy restore, or just ride and enjoy as I have !
